School Committee · Meeting of June 9, 2026

Lee School Committee reorganizes and funds a third kindergarten classroom for the fall. Members re-elected Langwa as chair and Nicole Kachure as vice chair for fiscal year 2027, then voted unanimously to spend up to $100,000 in school choice funds on a new kindergarten teacher, paraprofessional and four additional choice seats after registration hit 41 students. The committee also approved $202,918.87 in accounts payable warrants, a $2,198,004.85 payroll warrant, and an $80,347.84 prepayment of private special education tuition under state law.

Members accepted a roughly $20,000 in-kind bleacher donation from the Lee Youth Commission for the softball field. "I think our experience has been when students come to us as choice students, they stay," the superintendent said of the enrollment push.
